Valerie Pawid West
Valerie Pawid West, a 22-year-old biomedical engineer and newly certified EMT, has made history by being crowned the first-ever Miss Reina Filipina North America 2025. The prestigious event took place on January 25, 2025, at the iconic Palladium Times Square in New York City.
Valerie's journey to the crown was remarkable. Her insightful responses during the interview segment, particularly on social media responsibility, resonated with both the judges and the audience. In addition to winning the title, she also clinched awards for Best in Swimwear and Miss Photogenic.
Valerie will now represent New York at the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2025 pageant in Manila, alongside Reina Filipina North America's Miss Connecticut Amanda Russo and Miss New Jersey Pauline Del Mundo from the tri-state area

Valerie West is a 22 year old, published musculoskeletal researcher and newly-certified EMT. She completed her Biomedical Engineering degree at the University of Delaware, and has future plans of medical school to pursue pediatric cardiology. Apart from her passion for medicine, she also enjoys singing, dancing, and competitive martial arts. She has performed around the world, including The Apollo Theater and even the Philippines. Proudly a dual citizen of the US and Philippines, Valerie’s roots trace back to Kiangan, Ifugao, through her mother. She is grateful for the opportunity to further explore her heritage through Reina Filipina, and looks forward to sharing her journey with you all.
